A special visit

When the stars line up it is magical. The baby is in Lang Son province in Northern Vietnam. It is pretty much at the end of the road for Vietnam travellers. Important trade route as it is close to the China border but doesn't offer much to tourists. When we adopted Natalie, we were in a group of 7 families. These families quickly became like family in our lives and remain that way today. Our kids all "knew" each other (they were babies) before knowing us, their forever families. As it so happened, one of the moms from this group was travelling to Lang Son province and could check on our baby. My fingers were crossed that it would all work out and it did. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was to see video of our baby and get some updated photos. The most valuable outcome of the visit was to see the interaction between our baby and her nanny. She is well cared for and her nanny really cares about her. We could also see from the video that she looks really healthy. Knowing all of this makes the wait much easier.

She is Canadian

Once we landed in Vancouver, My became a Canadian citizen. We were on a small plane with just a few other people, we were spread out a bit....
