We were so close to visiting Piper.
The plans were made...but then the Vietnamese government imposed new orders to control the COVID-19.
- everyone must wear masks outside
- all restaurants and coffee shops would close
- people are not to travel outside of the Province. There are 58 provinces in Vietnam and Vietnam is 1/3rd the size of British Columbia. A Province in some places is like a city in British Columbia.
These measure are in place for 2 weeks. Fingers are crossed that we will be able to visit her in a couple of weeks. The paperwork for the adoption is being prepared and apparently, The officials in Vietnam really want the adoption to happen as soon as possible because she has been in their care for a long time- this is heartening for us.
